About PerformaMed

Recognising the need to make sports medicine services more available and convenient, Certified Athletic Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Martha Poukpa founded PerformaMed in 2004. 

As founder and owner of PerformaMed, Martha brings over 20 years' experience with a wide range of patients to her own practice. She has provided both emergency and rehabilitative care to high caliber international athletes, and at world-renowned sporting events, including:

Cirque du Soleil

Bromont International Equestrian Event

Elite and professional international athletes of various disciplines (equestrian, triathlon, swimming, skiing, football, hockey, basketball)

Members of Canadian Armed Forces

Over the decades Martha has also assisted with facilitating the daily life of patients with debilitating diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease through gentle manual therapy, and cognitive and neuromuscular training.
